Whitestone was founded in New York City in 1949 near the Whitestone Bridge, after which it is named. In 1965, the
company relocated to Piscataway, New Jersey, and in 1968 a second manufacturing facility opened in Los Angeles, California.
In 1982, a third facility opened in Bloomington, Indiana. In 1995, Capricorn
Investors II, L.P., a Connecticut-based private investment group, purchased Whitestone. Under Capricorn's ownership, Whitestone
consolidated all operations into the Bloomington, Indiana, location.
Whitestone's early product line featured tissue paper products and underpads, then later expanded to include baby diapers
and adult incontinence products. Now principally a manufacturer of adult incontinence products, we continue to advance our incontinence
care line by developing new products and improving existing ones. Whitestone recently became the first manufacturer to produce an
Extra-Extra-Large (XXL) adult brief. We also introduced Excelsorb™ III, the next generation of our proprietary absorbent core
technology, which increased the absorbency of our briefs by over 30%!
The demand for disposable adult incontinent care products continues to increase as life expectancy rates rise and the baby boom generation
ages. Whitestone's innovative products provide a higher level of comfort and quality of life for this growing segment of the population.
We manufacture a comprehensive line of high-quality products designed to meet a wide range of needs and activity levels.
Whitestone also offers excellent distributor programs and a variety of facility in-service seminars and training programs which are designed
to educate caregivers in ways to improve skin health and increase the quality of care and dignity of residents, through staff education and the
use of Whitestone products.
For over 50 years, Whitestone has manufactured products of exceptional quality and value.
Whitestone representatives are caring people who listen and respond to your needs.
As life expectancy rates continue to rise, Whitestone will continue to provide products and services to enhance the quality of life for
incontinence sufferers and their caregivers.
